The Enchanted Forest is the school care program at Swift River School. EF is a great place for your child to have safe, supervised time before and after school to relax, complete homework and engage in physical activity.  At the Enchanted Forest we seek a healthy balance between play, continued learning and enrichment activities.  The afternoon program is especially geared to encourage physical activity outside or in the gym to re-energize the children after a day in school.  We offer many special activities throughout the year including tumbling and dance classes, cooking, tie-dyeing, basketball and soccer clinics, checkers club, an egg drop and many others.  The morning program provides a quiet, peaceful start for the children’s school day and includes such activities as reading (both silent and read aloud), puzzles, simple art activities.

The afternoon program is open every day from the end of school until 5:30 p.m. The program fee is $17 on Wednesdays, $9.00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.  Children may be enrolled on a regular basis for one to five days a week, or they may come on a drop-in basis (provided space is available) for $5 per hour.

Currently, the morning program is open only by pre-arrangement.  Please call or e-mail Christine Heard with 24 hours notice, if you need to drop off your child before school between 7:20 and 8:15 a.m. The charge is $5 for an hour, $4 for 40 minutes or less; $3 for 20 minutes or less.

Children should be registered at EF before they come to the program.  Please contact Christine Heard for the policy and for registration forms or download them here.
