100 Mile Club®

SRS Run Club
The goal is simple. The benefits are immense.

Hello SRS Families!

Welcome to a new school year! This year we have decided to transition our beloved 100 Mile

Club program to the Swift River Run Club! This decision is based mainly on finances with the

idea that we can provide the same programming for less money to families and the school.

Swift River Run Club will follow the same pattern of tracking miles using the tracking system we

implemented last year. Participants will receive the new Swift River Run Club t-shirt upon

completion of 25 miles and, for now, the same pencil and bracelet incentives upon 50 and 75

mile completion. At the end of the year anyone who reaches 100 miles will receive a medal!

We are asking those who are able to send in $5-10/participant with the accompanying form.

This year you can scan the QR code and pay with Square! Even if you can’t pay anything now,

please fill out and return the form so we have t-shirt sizes and email addresses. We also would

love the participation of any adults willing to track miles!

How to earn miles (Starting September 7th!):

1. Students have opportunities to complete laps during school hours. Laps earned during

school hours will be tracked and submitted by the teachers.

2. At home, or outside of school hours, any miles earned by intentionally walking or running

count. (Please don’t count total steps in the day.) Also, 1 mile can be earned for any

sport/activity with continuous movement for 20 minutes. 20 minutes of biking, swimming,

dancing, gymnastics, soccer, hockey, trampoline, any physical activity is equal to 1 mile.

Only 3 miles can be added for these activities per week.

20 mins of activity = 1 mile, 40 mins = 2 miles, 60 mins = 3 miles

Home miles are to be submitted by the family.

Submitting miles: Home miles are submitted via an emailed link and are due by Monday at

noon.

Registering: To register, please complete the attached form and return it to the school.

Families, staff, and community members are welcome to register.

After some feedback, this year we will be recognizing students who have reached a

milestone EVERY OTHER week on Friday at Community Sing at 8:45am in the

cafeteria. All families are welcome.

We would love anyone willing to volunteer, specifically anyone interested in hosting weekly

morning or afternoon run clubs. For any questions regarding the Swift River Run Club or if you’d

like to volunteer, please email [email protected].

We are looking forward to another phenomenal year!
